Hey- I talked to Cindy a couple times this week.  I think she is doing better.  She is able to eat a little bit of food and drink coke.  =)  I think they may look at taking her PICC line out in a couple of weeks if she continues to improve.  Just wanted to give you an update.

Re: grinnysgirl

  • Hi there! Thanks so much for the update! I have been thinking about her a lot. Wow that news is AWESOME! How far along is she now? It sounds like she caught it early enough and was able to get her hydration under control. My PICC was in for 3.5 months (until 24 weeks) so I am very happy it looks like hers will be out sooner :)

She is almost 12 weeks.  She is nervous that her feeling well may not last but she is staying positive.  Last time she was really sick (but not PICC sick) until 23 weeks.  I'm hoping to go visit her next week.  Our boys are only 9 days apart so it will be nice for them to play together.

  • Butting in, but thanks for the update!  I texted her awhile back and never heard back so I'm glad to hear she is doing better.

  • She said she hasn't seen her cell phone in a while. :)  I called her house.  She had to call me back because she was vomitting. She actually sounded really good considering.....

It sounds positive! I was sick with Ella until 28 weeks- not hyperemesis just vomiting every day once or twice too. My OB said that if you can get your hydration under control a lot of hyperemetics feel better around 14ish weeks and are able to do without the PICC so it sounds like that might be where she is at. If she is feeling better enough to eat and drink even a little that is a great sign! I think I just waited too long initially and was way too dehydrated so she was smart to be proactive!
