but Dr.M said that doesn't mean I don't have ovarian cancer or it's precancerious. Um...so why did I have them done?!
Anyway-since the cyst is 3inches he doesn't think it will shrink, but there's a chance. Now we are debating whether to do surgery to remove it, biopsy it and be done or wait another month to see if it shrinks on its own....

Re: Lab tests are negative
That's a tough decision. I'm not a wait-around kind of gal, I think I'd have it removed and be done with it.
Will this hinder the ability to have future Baby BPs?
YAY! Glad to hear the lab tests were negative. Ovarian cancer is a cancer you don't mess with (not that any other kind cancer is not as scary). And at your age he probably wanted to be fairly aggressive for the best possible outcome in case your labs did come back indicating the big C word. Also labs aren't always 100% which is probably why he said he can't rule it out yet. He shouldn't tell you with 100% certainty that you're in the clear but the labs indicate that you probably are - liability stuff..
I'll offer my unsolicited advice: If it were me I'd probably have it removed and biopsied but I'm also a complete control freak and dont think I could just wait a month and see. Plus would like an official report from the biopsy for peace of mind- especially since the cancer marker labs were negative if it would happen to be something at least it's early on in the process where other labs aren't effected yet. I'll end my rant now!
Whew! Thank goodness it's negative AND that you didn't have to wait until Tuesday.
Continued prayers for shrinkage and whatever next steps you take.
I know you aren't necessarily asking for advice, but I'd have it biopsied.
Then again, I'm in fear of cancer right now. H's aunt is literally on her death bed right now because of ovarian cancer. She didn't take pre-cautions (refused to go to the doctor and have things checked out) which was a big mistake as early prevention is so important. She tried a couple of options that didn't work. It spread to her stomach and skin around her abdominal area. She's too far gone to try chemo now. She is in such pain that she has to be doped up constantly, making her incoherent and dysfunctional. The doctors keep saying she won't make it through the night...
//steps down from soapbox
Update: Dr.M talked to Dr.Young (my fertility specialist). They want me to take prometrium to induce a period and then go in on day 2-3 for an ultrasound. They want to check for endometreosis (sp?) and look at the cyst again. Then we'll talk about surgery/biopsy. Thanks for all your thoughts & kind words ladies!
MrsEggs-as of now, it doesn't look like it will hinder us from conceiving (via IVF obviously) but time will tell...
I don't want to freak you out, but if I were you, I would have it removed and biopsied, stat. Mortality rates are much higher in young women with cancers of the reproductive system. I have a friend that has uterine cancer and she's very sick right now, so maybe I'm being hypersensitive, but I wouldn't wait. (it was found at her yearly pap and was stage 4).
Lots of t&ps that its nothing!
