Anyone in Charlottesville?
Hi all! There is a good chance I am going to be moving to Charlottesville in 2-3 months, and was wondering if there is anyone here who could recommend resources for finding some info about the area. I have a 14 month old and will need daycare, and I'd also just love some info about neighborhoods, school districts, etc.
Any suggestions on where to start would be great! Thanks

Here's a best of list for 2010 in the area. I don't have kids so I don't know much about the day care sector. If you are planning on staying I would recommend Albemarle county over charlottesville city in the public school department.

*waves* I'm in C'ville!
http://www.law.virginia.edu/html/insider/intro.htm <--This website has some decent info on the area...some might be a little dated, though. I don't have kids, so I can't help you out there....
As everyone else says... I do not have kids... however... are you planing on moving to the city or the county? My H personally likes the county over the cities schools though... I have heard that Fluvanna (about 30 min from the City) is the 3rd school in the state for best overall acedemics. It is also nice and peaceful out that way.
Welcom to Cville!!! Theres a lot of fun things out here! :-)
