  • I've never been there, but La Bistecca is always running gift certificates on restaurants.com so make sure to check it out.

  • I've only been to the Earle.  We go there for our anniversary dinners.  They're on the low end of expensive (between $15-$30/entree).  Last year they had the most amazing stuffed mushrooms appetizer, but, alas, they'd changed the recipe this year and wasn't as good.  We still loved the potato side - I would totally base my order on if it came with the potato side.  They have an awesome wine list and we would normally order a bottle, although not this year.

I don't know what they normally do, but they had some quiet live jazz music that started just about when we left.  So, if you like that, I might go closer to 8pm rather than the 7pm that we got there.

Thanks for this. I'll check this out too. I'd still like to hear some opinions of people I 'know'.

I'm basing my choice on restaurants.com- we have a $50 gift certificate that we should use up- especially since we have to pay someone so we can go out (not used to that!)

  • I've only been to the Earle. I went there for my birthday this year (end of May) with 3 friends. Everything that we had was delicious. Also, I was surprised that they had an extensive wine list with some very reasonably priced bottles on it (<$30).

I had the Grilled Delmonico, I know someone had Saut?ed Beef Tenderloin Bourguignonne, someone had pork chops and I can't remember what the other person had.

We were there on a Thursday night and they had a piano player. It was nice.

My co-worker says that Le Bistecca is delicious.  She said they have the best filet she's ever had.

This.  I just went there for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was awesome.  A bit pricey, so make sure you go to restaurant.com and print a certificate.  That'll save you a little bit.  They are one of the only restaurants in the country to serve Piedmontese (sp?) beef.

I've only been to La Bistecca... it is a very good restaurant. It is a bit on the pricey side. We had gone when they were running a groupon special. It was still well worth going to. My husband and I both would go back again.
