Am I the only one with FB friends selling Rodan + Fields?

They're all SO ENTHUSIASTIC!  and they like to use ALL CAPS to talk about this opportunity to get in on the GROUND FLOOR of the $6 BILLION skin care market!

I would block them all, but they're also friends and I like their non-business status updates.  I think that might be a R&F strategy - sell the business, but also include non-business status updates so people don't block you?

I now have 4 friends from high school selling the stuff.

  • I wasn't even aware Rodan + Fields was now MLM. That stuff in general annoys me. I don't go to Tupperware, jewelry, or any of those parties.
  • My friends aren't selling skincare stuff, but a few of them have started selling this crap lately.  "Stylish" myass.

My cousin is selling this stuff.  She's 2 states away and I've been invited to 3 parties in the 3 months she's been selling.  I'm over it.  And yet I feel strangely compelled to support her.  It's expensive and not that cute.  I could make most of that stuff myself for 1/2 the price.

  • No, and I have never heard of it.

  • Ive never heard of it.

I do know that my fb feed changed and Im not happy. :(

  • I looked at that purse link and they misspelled "magnify".

I hate how once you have one of those parties or buy something from one, you are permanently stuck on some b-level mailing list.  The unsubscribe never works and the people who sell the line tend to be less than technically savvy in their enthusiasm to push more overpriced garbage.

  • The office partner's wife is selling this and I get constant FB feeds from her about it. I am not interested in purchasing, but still they come.

    Invitations to parties, too.

  • I've never heard of it. BIL and SIL and a bunch of people they know are selling Monavie. They don't shut up about it. No, I don't want to buy a bottle of $45 juice, thanks.

  • Read my blog about Rodan & Fields and how the consultants exploit Facebook and use these over-enthusiastic, manipulative tactics to get people interested in joining!  They mostly focusing on recruiting "business partners" to buy a $995 kit (which consultants receive a commission from of $100 or more) and do not really care about selling the product.

  • One of my good friends is selling it. She doesn't go too overboard with it. BUT, she is making more selling R&F than her current full time job. She just told me the other day that she is thinking about selling this stuff full time & quitting her day job.

  • You're not the only one. There are two girls on my feed who are both selling. I am constantly getting bombarded with posts and messages and party invites from these two. I would delete them, but I've known them for quite some time before they got wrapped up in this. Surprisingly, my usual (and factual) excuse about most skin products impacting my allergies hasn't put a damper on their marketing towards me.
