Lets get this bored going... How long have you been married...

Hi Ladies,

How long have you been married and where did you get married at?

My name is Amalia and I got married April 16th, 2011.  We had our reception at the North Bank Park and the Reception at The Capital Club.

Re: Lets get this bored going... How long have you been married...

  • Hey Amalia!

My name is Erin and we got married June 11, 2011.  We are from Mansfield and had our wedding at our church and our reception at a local social club.

What's your favorite thing about being married?
  • Hi Erin,

Our Favorite thing is that We both feel that our relationship is so much Stronger and more mature.

I also love it because my husband (wow... its weird saying that word) keeps saying to me "thanks for marrying me honey" and I cant help it but love that.

    How about you?

  • I agree that the relationship feels stronger and more mature now.  There's just something about making it official that just changes the relationship in a subtle, but big way.

It's adorable that your husband keeps saying that!  My husband mentions that he's "the lucky one" and that he "married up" sometimes; it just makes you feel good.

We didn't live together before we got married, so I think that has to be my favorite thing.  It's funny to see him all his little quirks and he likes coming home to me (and dinner!) :)

Did you have a nice holiday weekend?

  • Awe... thats cute.

We didnt really do much.  He works today and tomorrow and Im just hanging out with a few friends. How about you?

  • That sucks that he has to work.  Hubby gets the day off tomorrow, but he doesn't get his usual day off because he gets tomorrow off. Oh well.

We did get to go up to Cleveland for a big family thing which is always fun, but now we're pretty much chilling and working on our townhouse.  I think we may go do some registry completion shopping tomorrow....
  • I've been married for two years and two months.  We got married at the courthouse in San Jose, CA (where we were living at the time).  We eloped.  We are having a "wedding" for a few family members/friends this Labor Day weekend, and doing lots of fun things: North Market, manicures/pedicures at Aveda on High Street, dinner at Sage (at High and Dodridge), photos in Glen Echo Ravine, etc.  I'm really excited!

  • That sounds like sooo much fun!  We debated about eloping, but decided we really wanted our family there (and our family is HUGE!).  Plus, the husband really wanted a big party.
  • thats sounds like soooo much fun.  Im so Jealous.  I cant telling my Husband that if we didnt have to pay for it again i would totally have another wedding.  :)
  • I wish that we didn't have to worry about paying for weddings!  I think that I would have a wedding once or twice a month then! :)
  • Hi ladies!  My name is Carla.  We've been married 36 days now.  We had our ceremony at St. Mary's and our reception at the Jessing Center.

We did not live together before we got married, so being able to see him every day has been my favorite part of married life so far.  He works nights and I work days but we still do our best to make the most of the time when we're both home and awake. :)
