I live in Bayside, Queens. We got married in Las Vegas too. Where did you have the ceremony?
For the 4th, DD wore her patriotic outfit and we watched on TV.
Hi! We got married at the Wynn. The ceremony was held in the Lavender Salon and the reception in our tower suite. It was amazing, we love the Wynn and everyone has been just unbelievable professional. Not one hitch
Where was your wedding?
We were at the Tropicana and had our "honeymoon" at the Venetian.
Right after our wedding, about 2 weeks after, we were went to a friends wedding in Vegas and I was skeptical. But it was fantastic. Our friends got married at Mandalay Bay and had their reception at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant in The Venetian. Both were fabulous. The bride had no problems at all, the staff of both places were bending over backwards to help her. I was so impressed.
We finished off our own HM in Vegas at the Bellagio. After our wedding we flew to Cabo San Lucas for 10 days and then up to Vegas for the wedding (and our own End Of HM Fun,) and then home.
Yes, Mandalay Bay is a very popular choice among Vegas brides.
Personally we didn't have but great responses about our wedding during the planning process but I've heard other brides complaining that people were pulling faces at the words "Las Vegas"... no idea why. We had a super glamorous wedding and everyone at the Wynn went above and beyond all day for us. Man, I want to do it again! LOL
Your experience sounds like a blast! I wish a was invited to a destination wedding!

***Somehow I messed up the quote thingy but trying to wipe out some of it!***
I was just counting $$ in my head. We had just spent a fortune on our own wedding and then I was adding up hotels and plane fare and it was making my head spin. And, truth be told, I heard Vegas wedding and my immediate thought was Elvis and Tacky. ;-)
But we just readjusted our HM to fit the plans and it worked better than I expected. We never intended to HM on the West Coast, but in a way it was better. We wanted to go somewhere with a beach and warmth and relaxation. But summer HM and I was worried about hurricanes, etc. West Coast, while not 100% safe, was waaaaay safer than my first choice of Nevis. Just a couple of years after our HM, Nevis was hit with an awful hurricane. I've been in hurricanes in Florida, and they suck. I wouldn't want to be in the Caribbean and be in one.
