Anniversary Plans

What are everyone's plans for their anniversaries?  Anyone going away to some place special?  It's so hard to believe it's already been a year!

We celebrated a little early since DH was off work the last two weeks of June.  We went to a PA resort called Bedford Springs Omni Resort using an EXTREMELY generous gift card a group of friend had gotten us as a wedding gift.  We did their Golf & Spa package, had a delicious dinner, and walked around their beautiful grounds. The next day we did a covered bridge tour.  On our actual day we'll probably just go to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (site of our 1st date).

We went to see Wicked at the Kennedy Center on Saturday and went out to dinner last night. We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out together and enjoying the company Next year it probably won't be as peaceful, haha.

We went to Santa Cruz for two nights and enjoyed some much needed R&R time together.

I'm scheduled to work on our anniversary. However i'm having surgery on the 7th, not sure if I should be working on the 10th. I bought DH tickets to drive a stockcar 10 laps. Woo hoo. see if he'll like that.

We're going on vacation to Gatlinburg. We're going horseback riding and possibly hiking. We don't have a real agenda, we just go with the flow.

We have a trip planned, but in all reality it's mostly visiting with family and not an anniversary trip. DH asked me this past week if there was anything I wanted for an anniversary gift. So, we went out and bought a dining room table this past weekend. We've had an empty dining room since we bought our house over 2 years ago. I can't wait till it is here!

We are spending a long weekend (Fri-Sun) on Martha's Vineyard. Neither of us have ever been so I'm pretty excited about it. The parents of a kid that DH has coached the past few years have offered their vineyard house and car for us to use for the weekend - so generous of them!!

We will probably go to dinner at the restaurant where ziggy proposed to me, and get our replica cake from our baker to enjoy.

 Other than that, probably nothing! hah! We're boring people!

We are going to dinner at patriots place on sunday just to go out and celebrate. Then in a few weeks we're going to chicago to see Wrigley and explore the city! That will for sure be a blast!

I know my anniversary is on sunday but I did get all choked up watching fire works last night! I kept saying, wow 1 year for us haha!

We will be spending the weekend with DH's family...  but are going to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner the week before or the week after.   He'll be ending his busy time at work, and I'll just be starting mine... so trips are out of the question.
