Roll Call!!

Who's here? What are you doing? How was your weekend? Do anything exciting? Did you see or are you going to see fireworks?

Re: Roll Call!!

  • I'm here. E and I are watching Cake Boss, and contemplating digging into the Red White and Blueberry Pie I made yesterday. We really haven't done much this weekend but got the house cleaned and the office organized and in working order. We had thought about going to the fireworks but its still 90 out and a little too hot for our liking to have to sit and wait for them to start.

  • I sm here playing on my new iPad. We got out early anniversary present since DH is going to be gone quite a bit and I am going back to school. It was cheaper than a new laptop, so yay!!! We just got back from Fireworks. They were pretty awesome. I am ready to get back into a routine though. This weekend has been pretty awesome though, not going to lie.

  • We just watched the fireworks from the Art Museum on our back deck.  Before that, we caught the concert on tv.  Now, DH is putting the trash out and I'm watching the news.

  • We made it home from the Pirates game in one piece (suprising with DH's driving).  DH almost blew off his hand with a large bottle rocket this evening.  Fortunately he was able to knock it away before it went off (it was stuck in a fence post).  Good thing he taught me how to stitch wounds a few months ago (that's a joke but the scary thing is he would probably trust me to do it).  I'm getting ready to go to bed.  I spent way too much time in the sun today and I'm beat.

  • hi!

No fireworks here. It was torrentially raining so I just stayed in and had a peaceful evening.

Today was super amazing though because H is in port and found a spot with wifi and we got to skype! It was really nice to see his face and get to have an actual conversation. I can't believe he's been gone almost 2 months. Now I'm trying to figure out something to send him for his birthday and our anniversary (they are within a week of each other).

  • I actually survived the night, which is a pretty big accomplishment. One of our friends bribed us with gas money to go out, so we ended up going down to the beach and hopping around the bars/restaurants. Being the only underage one I was obviously DD, but dear god! I wanted to head home around 10:30 and we ended up finally pouring our friend into my car at 12:30. I'm pretty exhausted for work this morning. We unfortunately didn't see any fireworks because it was super foggy and there were cops everywhere so nobody set any off that we could see.
