How was everyone's Weekend?
What did you end up doing for the fourth? Did you watch fireworks, stay in, drive back from vacation?

Friday: Canada Day! We stayed home, enjoyed the yard, had a friend over for dinner and watched Kate and Will at Parliament Hill. With 300,000 people in downtown Ottawa, we stayed far away. Plus, we work right there, so going near Parliament Hill on a day off is just too close to work!
Saturday: I got my hair cut and highlighted, we ran some errands, went to IKEA, and went to a friend's house for dinner.
Sunday: We went to see Super 8 (and really enjoyed it!) and then went to a BBQ for a friend's birthday.
Monday: Back to work for us!

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermFriday: I worked my normal day and then after work went over to my friend's house to hang out. We went to dinner then just hung around her house talking. I only planned to stay a few hours but ended up staying until midnight. Her baby is due pretty soon so it'll probably be the last time we hang out prior to the baby coming, so it was so much fun to just sit and chat for hours.
Saturday: Jason had to work so I slept in for a while then went grocery shopping. I came home, put all the groceries away, cleaned a bit and vacuumed, and then made dinner so it'd be ready for when he got home. Saturday night we just hung out together in our apartment all night and watched a movie.
Sunday: Jason had to work again, so I just chilled in the morning and then met him for his lunch break and got Subway. Afterwards I went shopping, got a new shirt, some new books, and some supplies for our beach vacation this coming weekend. Sunday evening we went to WV to hang out with one of his friends and his girlfriend.
Monday: We both had off so we just hung around all day, took a long nap, watched a movie, etc. We didn't want to go downtown and deal with the crowds for the fireworks, so we found a place near our apartment where we could see them. Ugh we also spent some time emptying out all of our kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinet. Once a year our apartment complex sprays for roaches (even though we've never had any kind of bug problem) so they are coming today to spray which means we had to have all of our cabinets totally empty. Our apartment is a reck right now because all of our kitchen stuff and food is sitting in our dining room. We also had to lock our cats up in the bedroom all day which makes me sad for them.
It was the longest/best wknd ever. I am strrrruggling at work today!
Thurs: Ben Harper concert with DH, sis, SIL, bro and 2 friends. It was awesome and a great show. Apparently while we were in the show there was a bookoo storm with hail, lightening, etc outside. Totally had no clue.
Fri: (I took it off) Slept in, went to Cubs-Sox game, after game met my sister at bar to eat and then we took her to the airport (she went to visit a friend in NC). On the way there, while stuck in traffic she learns her 10pm departure was pushed back to 11:30pm. So we went to Coldstone near the airport. It was a great spot! We had Oscar with us so we sat outside and ate ice cream. It's just maybe 500 ft or so from some of the runways so there was plane after plane coming in for landing.
Sat: 9mi run (about killed me in 90degree weather!), Cubs-sox game (this time thankfully we were in covered seats), met friends out in Wrigleyville after the game and had a smashing time, plus we were in bed by 10:30p, (=totally ideal for me)
Sun: breakfast out, rooftop pool of the family I nanny for (unfortunately the sun wasn't that strong though), we stayed in and watched Biutiful that night
Mon: 3mi run, picked up sister from train (she'd taken from airport), breakfast out, she left town, grocery store and we had people over for best man's birthday and played bags/cornhole, grilled, etc. It was really fun although I stopped drinking early in the night and swtiched to water, most people continued though, needless to say I didn't get in bed until 11:30 and usually we try to be in bed around 9:30 the night before a work week.
Overall it was soooo fun and pretty relaxing!

Friday - Got up at 5 to run. Had work in the morning and the afternoon off. Went to lunch with my grandma at a new restaurant in town, went to a BBQ with DHs coworkers. Someone made curry guacamole - I ate like lb of it. haha.
Saturday - got up early and went shooting hand guns! My first time. I shot some revolvers and semi-automatics. It was nuts, and actually really fun. Once I shot the first one I really wasn't too nervous anymore. We spent a good 3 hours at the range. That evening good friends of ours who moved away when I was like 5 came to visit from China and we had dinner with them. It was so so fun, I get along so well with the one girl, it makes me sad they moved away when I think about how much fun we could have had growing up together.
Sunday - we slept in until like 10 then I went for a run and did some other exercise stuff. We bummed around for the afternoon, and I cleaned out the fridge - I can only sit still so long. Then we went to a minor league baseball game that evening and got to go on the field to throw a ball around before it started which was super fun. Our team lost the game, but I had a really amazing gourmet peanut butter cupcake while we watched, haha. My mom caught a foul ball but then we gave it to this young kid that was like pouty because he tried to get it (he was kind of one of those kids that seems to think he's entitled so I kind of regret doing that now). The there were fireworks at the end of the game which was awesome.
Monday - did a 4k race with my parents and DH. it was hot and I had some issues but it was fun. then came home and chilled out and I watched some glee season 2. Then we walked down to my grandmas apartment because she has a view of the fireworks and spent a few hours hanging out and snacking before the fireworks. It was an awesome show, they even put some of the fireworks to Harry Potter music.
This weekend actually went pretty slow for me which was awesome!

Friday I made cookies at MIL's house for SIL's baby shower next weekend, DH took off work early so when I got home we were able to relax for a while. Then we had a concert to play so we went out to eat and did that. After the concert we went to a post wedding party for coworkers of mine who got married June 18(they have a huge picnic every year for the 4th of July weekend and kicked it off with a wedding celebration) There were only a few other teachers there but it was nice and near the end of the evening they set off some illegal fireworks they'd been given as a wedding present.
Saturday we went to the yard sales here in town and got a pottery barn kids crib dust skirt for $1, now I am searching for the rest of the set at other sales but it is so cute that we weren't passing it up. We spent a lot of the afternoon relaxing and taking care of a sick kitty and then had another concert at a local carnival. They have us play as they start the fireworks and so we stayed for the fireworks there too. (This is actually where DH and I first really talked so it is a favorite of ours)
Sunday we slept in and just relaxed most of the day and then went to Lowes and Texas Roadhouse and to another set of fireworks.
Monday we went to my parents for a picnic and just relaxed.
Friday: I went to a baseball game so I could see DH. I know he likes when I come to games so he can see me while he's at work so even though I don't really like to go to the games I go for him.
Saturday: I went to my sister's house for a bit and got to see my adorable niece and nephew.
Sunday: I cleaned and grocery shopped (multiple trips) for our Monday cookout.
Monday: I cooked all morning and then everyone came over at 1 pm for a cookout. It was nice although I realized there some people in this world who can never be happy. Then we cleaned up and I took a nap! In the evening we walked and got some ice cream.
I worked Friday, so after that we went out to dinner at another local brewery, and then went grocery shopping.
Saturday we went to our home town and hung out with the in-laws, then did dinner with my dad and step mom, and on our way out town stopped and picked-up my 14 year old nephew who is staying with us for the week.
Sunday didnt do much hung out around the house had the comcast guy come out and check our internet it hasn't been working right, did some more last minute shopping forgot the beer and stuff for the fourth, then took my Nephew out to dinner for his first sushi outing! lol
Monday we went to a bbq with some friends and there friends and hung out in there pool, and had some drinks and lots of food! and then it POURED for about an hour (dang arizona) and then dried out so we went to watch the fire works which alot of places this year went doing do to the high fire hazarded were having so the places that were doing them were packed. after that we stopped at In-n-out for dinner. and by that time from the heat and beer and i had a Major headache so when we got home I took a quick shower and put my self in bed at 11:00
