Hypothetically Speaking....

So lets say you thought you were pregnant (hypothetically of course).

From experience from yourself or others, what were your first symptoms? What did you notice first that put that thought in your head?

Re: Hypothetically Speaking....

  • I missed my period entirely and then determined that every other little thing I was feeling meant I was CERTAINLY pregnant -- slight nausea, dizziness, tired. Obviously I was wrong.
  • Lots of cramping, sensitive to smells, sensitive nipples, back pain, excessive thirst.....feeling all of this at some point during the last 2 weeks or so.  Won't know for sure if it's false symptoms or real for another 2 weeks (according to my chart)

  • My boobs were SO sore and I felt a tightening of my abdoment that was very odd. I became very sensitive to smells and was frequently tired. They were false symptoms but from what I understand it's the norm. Something else I've heard is that your nipples will change in color to a darker tone...I haven't experienced this personally but I've heard that others have.

  • Work was super busy the month I found out and I had ZERO symptoms. I only figured it out when H and I were moving and I felt winded after just a couple minutes of moving things around. I all of a sudden realized oh crap Im almost 3 weeks late maybe I should take a test and it was positive lol

  • The symptoms for pregnancy are very similar to those for AF. They are also different for every woman. I've had every pregnancy symptom possible, including morning nausea, and I've never been pregnant.

  • My symptoms were like the normal PMS symptoms I would get: upset easily (which worked really well for me since I had to jump in the middle of a nurse at the hospital when my friend was attacked by a dog), tired, and headaches. Nothing seemed to point out that I was pregnant until the day I was supposed to start and the evening came and I hadn't. It wasn't until a few weeks after we found out I was pregnant that I started to have more symptoms (going to the bathroom every 45 minutes, wanting to sleep all day every day, being able to smell [I have chronic allergies so becoming pregnant has allowed me to actually smell a lot of things that I normally don't], and the sore/enlarged breasts).

  • I didn't have any symptoms per se...I just had a "feeling" so I took a test.  Then took about 4 more tests, lol :)

  • For me, I'm not sure I'll have symptoms because AF doesn't visit me and I don't have any cycling-related symptoms. . . I just trust birth control because otherwise I'd go crazy!  I think when we start trying (or stop not trying), I'll just take a test every 2 weeks or something :P
