Do you know any mortgage brokers or have someone you would recommend? We're looking for someone with experience and that others have trusted in the past. More specifically, if they have experience lending with second mortgages that would be beneficial as well.
Re: Mortgage Loan Rec?
We LOVED Tracy Frette at American Home Mortgage. Super helpful and patient. We have also sent other friends to her as well. They have other offices as well, not just in Ankeny and she was willing to meet us at any of them.

Edit: You can tell her the Michaela Moore sent you, if you like.
Yes! We just closed on our house last Friday. Sean did an incredible job - I cannot say enough about him. He also got us the cheapest rate out of everyone we checked with.

We've had much better luck with experience and rates by going through a Credit Union. We use Premier Credit Union (515-243-6111) for all of our loans (Home & Auto).
Same here. Veridian Credit Union was awesome to work with. Their 30 year fixed rates are only 4.5% right now; ARMs are even less.
FWIW, Sean's rates were much lower than 4.5% - and it was a 30 year fixed assumable loan.
