My random questions

#1 - Where can I find a list of what immunizations Mason will get at 4 months?  I'm sure our dr. gave us one, but I can't find it.

#2 - This there a chart somewhere that says what weight and height a 4 month should be at?  I know the dr. will tell us what percentile he is in, but I like to know some of this BEFORE I go in.

#3 - Is there something I can do to prevent getting clogged ducts?  This happens at least once a week.

#4 - What is the best way to go about dropping a pumping session.  I want to go from 6x to 5x a time.

#5 - When you child starting rolling did they roll over on both sides or just one?

TIA!

Make sure you're emptying the breast well - are you EP'ing/nursing/both? Switch positions of your baby/pump to try to empty the breast well, don't rush, push fluids. Massage the areas that are bothering you & use warm packs.

#4 - What is the best way to go about dropping a pumping session.  I want to go from 6x to 5x a time.

I wouldn't do it right now if you're having this much trouble with plugged ducts, honestly. You'll have even more trouble. Wait until things settle down a little bit (hopefully just a few more days to a week?)

#5 - When you child starting rolling did they roll over on both sides or just one?

Seems like they have an easier time going one way or the other at first, then they get the hang of it & can go both ways.

    TIA!

  • J use to get really bad goobery eyes because of his tear ducts...we were told just to wipe/clean it with a warm washcloth and then massage them to help kind of open the ducts that were closed...thank God it did helped and he got over it himself...he was probably 9 months old before it started to get better. My cousins son just had surgery this morning to open his ducts because he is just over a year and they still were not opening. I swear I don't remember timelines from when my kids were babies so I'm no other help!

    3.  I just made sure I pumped for a few minutes after I thought I was done.  I also never let myself get engorged even if it wasn't my scheduled time to pump.

    4.  Start spacing them out by 15-30 minutes and you'll adjust to dropping a session.

    5.  Evan did only one way (I think belly to back?) for a long time before he started back to belly. I'd have to look it up but I think it was at least a month in between, maybe longer.

    #2:  Chart

#3 Nurse more frequently.  Avoid underwire bras.

#4  Just go for it!  You might be a little uncomfortable for a few days but your body will figure it out.  Pump just to relieve pressure.

#5  Just one, then would do both a few weeks later, but still had a preference.

  • Sawyer does back to belly.  He does the other way but I never see it.
  • You've gotten some good answers already, but I really like the CDC immunization scheduler...it let's you plug in their birthday & creates a custom schedule with approximate dates. There is also a spot for you to record the date given. HTH!

(Dr. B have you seen this?)

probably won't be clicky, sorry, I'm on my phone Smile

Yea Mason goes from back to belly, but he only rolls over on his left side.  Does Sawyer favor one side?

I was reading your post and thinking, what does this have to do with her questions, then figured it out!  Ha!  ;)  We still love you, you have good intentions!
