Does anyone have any experience with Chinese Pistaccio trees?
The tree trimmers were here this morning for a backyard tree, and suggested two Chinese pistaccios for the front yard.
Whats good about them? Whats bad? Would you plant them again?
Re: Chinese Pistaccio
Chinese Pistache are very good trees for urban sites or small spaces. They don't get very big (under 30') and are highly adaptable to poor conditions such as drought, pollution and compacted soil. Another plus is that they are not very susceptible to disease or insects. They have good fall color too.
I don't have any big list of liabilities for this tree. I would definitely recommend them if they meet your criteria.
