Re: The jury has a verdict!
NO WAY! WOW! Thank you for posting.
Based on how quick this went - guilty. I heard some lawyers talking about things yesterday and they said even if they all think guilty or not guilty on the first vote, they owe it to everyone to review all evidence, testimony, etc. and that should take a minimum of a few days. Interesting.
ETA: It could be not guilty, but I've got to think there were definitely some people who thought guilty and it would take a lot longer than 10 hours to convince them not guilty. I could be wrong though.
Where's the best place to watch this? I'm on the orlando sentinel website now.
Can you watch it on tv? I'm watching HLN (ch 44)
This is what I usually watch: http://www.wftv.com/caseyanthony/index.html
Perfect, thanks!
wowwwwww!!! not guilty for murder 1st degree, child abuse, but guilty for providing false information/lying to law enforncement
*completely not what i would have predicted
that is absolutely shocking. i can't believe it.
She should still be prosecuted for failing at being a mom. How could you let your kid be gone for 1 month and not tell anyone!
Everyone is rejoicing in the room but there is still a little girl that was killed
What are her parents going to do now? They were so supportive of her at the start and now that this alleged sexual abuse? I didn't see it...but did her parents go up and hug her at the end?
*Watch what happens next...she will sue the state of Florida for holding her so long, etc. and get money out of the whole thing. And she will not have to serve any more time for those guilty charges after almost 3 years in jail....
Ditto! I'm disgusted.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
The problem is the prosecution simply couldn't prove Caylee died at her hands. I always thought if the defense would've just said Zanny was actually a boyfriend and he killed her, I would've believed that no problem and just thought Casey was a part of it, but didn't actually do it - then celebrated. There just was no evidence to prove how she died either - was it chloroform, was it the duct tape, was is something else? Deep down, I think she did it, but there were a lot of questions that went unanswered. It will be interesting to hear what the jurors say!
this.
I know. I was absolutely shocked that people could come to THAT conclusion so quickly. I honestly feel like those jurors must be idiots to give into that so quickly.
Me too.
I think it was inevitable that they couldn't come back with guilty given the circumstantial evidence (although that BSC lady obviously had something to do if not DID kill her kid) but for them to come back this quickly with not guilty honestly makes my stomach turn...and I'm very disappointed that NOBODY held out claiming she was guilty. Disappointing to say the least.
You and I are on the same page! I was just about to post this too. He's so disingenuous and a$$y. Ick.
haha. Don't worry - the judge already told him he would be going to the FL bar about some things he did.
I agree with Tera. While I feel she did it people can't blame the judicial system for this or the jurors. This is the reason why innocent people are in prison, because so many go off a gut reaction and don't have facts to back it up. They didn't prove Casey did it or that anyone did it and how she died. While I think she should be blamed somehow for disposing of the body, they can't prove how the events all took place.
Casey is one lucky girl who someone managed to cover up either an accident or the truth. Even she had been found guilty this still would have been wrapped up in court for years with her lawyers appealing it.
