I think she's guilty as he!! but I don't think they have enough physical evidence to convict her of murder1.

I agree 110% -- she certainly did something, whether it was intentional or not I don't know, but the State just didn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. If the jury holds the State to its burden (which they very well may not) then she'll be convicted of obstruction of justice and nothing else. But, I don't really see that happening...
I AM SO NERVOUS it's ridiculous and I'm kind of embarrassed, but I really feel like I'm waiting for a verdict in my own case! ANddddd I have depositions in 5 minutes so I'm probably going to miss it UGH

What do you think? Truth? I think that any person who can duct tape the mouth of her child and wrap her up in her baby blanket, then bury her in an attempt to cover up an "accident" is hiding more than it being just an accident.
What is your reaction to the verdict? I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach...but I'm confident that she'll get hers. If the law of the people didn't get her, the law of God will.

Not Guilty on all counts except providing false information to a police officer? I knew the State of Florida was pretty incompetent, but this one truly takes the cake. Twitter and Facebook are blowing up already about it.
Many people are relating this to the OJ trial. Thoughts? Bets on if Casey Anthony is going to admit 20 years from now that she did it?

I think she is guilty as he!!. I also think her parents, or at least her dad, helped her cover things up. It makes me sick to think she's only getting a slap on the wrist. First of all, how do not report your child missing?!?!?! Secondly, what can posses you kill your innocent toddler daughter?!?!?!?!
I agree with Jeni that some how, some way she will be punished.
UNBELIEVABLE! I'm shocked, honestly! I mean, I get that there may not be enough evidence to convict her of murder 1. But, all she got convicted of is lying to officers? Really? There's no doubt that she's hiding something, and that she had involvement in it.
What I'd like to know if that if the jury thinks she's innocent of all counts, what do they think happened then? Do they really think that she drowned in the pool by accident? I'm just dying to know the real story.
I knew that she wouldn't get murder 1 but I don't understand why she didn't get convicted of child abuse. Is not reporting your child missing for 31 days NOT considered abuse? It certainly is neglect. Is that not the same thing?

I agree with this exactly. I'm curious to see if any of the juror's make a statement about what they actually think happened. I'm just sickened about this. I hope Casey isn't able to sleep at night because she knows she got away with murder. Terrible

I'm sick over this and really discouraged. We have an awful judicial system.
So, now I'm curious and maybe Rachel can answer this for me, but what happens now? Do they continue to investigate who the supposed "real" killer is now, or do they just let it drop and not bother finding out who killed this innocent baby girl?
Let's see if Casey Anthony starts advocating on who the "REAL" killer is. Disgusting

If she drowned, why the need for duct tape? That right there is all I can think about at this point. That poor little girl.
I had a feeling she was going to be found not guilty though. The defense had spun the story so much that it was all one big lump of doubt for the jurors.
What baffles me the most is that if Casey Anthony is TRULY NOT GUILTY, why didn't she testify? If you were ACTUALLY not guilty, wouldn't you want to testify and actually prove to everyone you didn't kill your daughter?
I feel like if she actually testified the outcome would have been completely different

I agree with you but I think her defense attorney did not want her to testify b/c he knew she would get caught in a lie & that would be the end for her. I think that's also why they had the isssue of competency last week - she wanted to testify & her attorneys did not want her to b/c they knew she would f$@! it up.

I agree 100% with this. That's why I think it's the main reason why she was found not guilty and that's a damn shame.

I guess I can see how she couldn't be convicted of murder 1....too much circumstantial evidence, but I don't see HOW she couldn't have been convicted of aggravated child abuse. HOW DO YOU NOT REPORT YOUR CHILD IS MISSING AFTER 30 DAYS?!?!?!?! How can you so non-chalantly say that oh, you haven't seen your kid in 30 days and you dropped her off at the babysitter's and didn't bother checking up with her at all!?!!??!!?
That is the one part of all of this that I DO NOT understand, even a little. She showed GROSS NEGLIGENCE by not giving a sh*t where her baby girl was.
If that was me I would be FLIPPING MY SH*T. Any competent parent would be doing the same. They wouldn't be partying it up and getting tattoos if their child has gone missing.

Well I'll be the minority vote here, but I have to say I'm surprised at comments such as "she's obviously guilty or she would have testified" and "Florida is incompetent" and "our justice system failed." It was JUST the 4th of July and everyone is forgetting the principles on which our country was founded --- innocence until PROVEN guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and the absolute right to remain silent. Florida can be kind of a joke (hence our super governor) but I am really proud of the jurors for actually following the constitution. The State provided literally NO evidence that Casey Anthony was the person who did these horrible things to the child (duct tape, chloroform, etc) and based its entire case on her behavior after the fact, which is just not proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
Do I think she did it? Probably. Do I think she'll pay in the form of karma or the afterlife or whatever you believe in? Yep. But anyone who believes that the evidence was enough to convict is simply lacking in their understanding of the American judicial system, and I think that's sad.
p.s. The State probably will just give it up at this point. There really isn't any evidence...
Rachel, I completely agree with you on how our justice system works. I was definitely interested to hear your take because there is alot more going on in a trial then the average person knows. And no, the prosecution did not have enough legal evidence, even though circumstantially, she is guilty. But that's not how it works, unfortunately.
However, I still feel awful about the way this turned out. Her baby was murdered (who did it?) and tossed to the side of the road, and she basically did not show an ounce of sorrow. She shouldn't be celebrating anything. It's just a tragic story for everyone, no matter what the verdict ended up being.

She's totally the scum of the earth, and I don't think you'll find anyone arguing otherwise. It's just a weee bit (okay a LOT bit frustrating) to hear people saying how our justice system is broken when in this case, technically, it worked. If you don't LIKE the American justice system that's another thing and those people should move I guess.
And calling the entire State of Florida and its residents stupid, incompetent, etc? Well that's just ignorant.
