I finally had my meeting with management and it went better than I had expected.
I voluntarily changed my status from salaried to hourly. This was on the agreement that my rate still stay the same and I still get my 2 weeks of paid vacation leave a year. But with hourly it allows me to take leave without pay with notice, which has been a big issue. I'm also more comfortable with hourly in this position due to the fluctuation in deadlines, schedules, etc..
We also discussed what would be best for the company long term and since now they wan't a business development person who also does marketing, and I've told them I'm not that person. I think in the next 6 months to a year, I will transition to being the Office Manager part time, and they will hire on a business development/marketing person part time (ideally). DH and I had already agreed to me looking for just part time work if this job didn't work out, so that isn't a big deal to us.
I do find it funny that this company goes back and forth between trying to combine these rolls and separating them every few years and yet they can never quite do it because they're never quite sure what functions they want.
