serving soup/black & yellow theme ideas too
Anyone have a fun way to serve a gazpacho for my dinner party on Saturday. I was thinking maybe in a double shot glass or something. We are having 5 courses so its not going to be a lot of soup for each person!
While you're at it, I am doing a black theme with pops of yellow. Any fun ideas there? I want to do my trifle bowl with lemons as the center piece. Maybe the napkins with a yellow flower tied around them??

I'm no help at all with the soup, though it does look like double shot glasses are a common way to go. I wanted to say that sunflowers are in season and would be nice to include.

How many people are you having? Pier One has a BUNCH of tasting serveware--double shooters, mini martini glasses, little bowls, all kinds of mini glassware that would be great for gazpacho.
I love the black eyed susan idea.

I love the little glass ideas - or could you hollow out a tomato, and serve it inside?
Maybe some black gingham linens? I like the bowl of lemons!
I like the shot glass idea...you could always put something like a shrimp or cube of fish or focaccia on a toothpick and lay that across the top of the glass...that way they have a bite of something and finish it with the 'shot' of gazpacho.
If you can find any yellow tomatoes (hard to come by i know...) you could use those and your gazpacho would be yellow too!
What will your other 4 courses will be??.... just curious...
