i have to share???

On our evening walk, I'm delighted to discover some wild raspberries are ripe!  I pick a handful and start eating them.  Then these two longing eyes look up at me.  Of course I shared, but I certainly had a hard time not feeling disappointed that I couldn't eat that whole handful on my own.  I'm greedy when it comes to food, I'll admit it.  I'm not excited for the days when I'll be called to share my dessert.

  • Haha. Get ready, because it is going to happen very soon. I can't eat anything around DD without her wanting some! Luckily I can still trick her and give her some Cheerios while I'm eating ice cream ;)

Umm, I did not think about this aspect of parenting... damn. I don't share very well at all.
  • Haha I'm horrible at sharing food, but with Caroline it's not bad. She is a little mooch. She gets down right feisty when it comes to ice cream, but it's cute b/c she'll sit on your lap and then it's nice.
  • I will admit there are some things I hate to share.  My boys are all over me whenever I try to eat anything, so I have no learned that if I don't want to share, I don't let them see me eat. Ha ha

  • It's been a while since we've been able to share anything with Helen. If it's something she wants to eat, she gets her own portion, especially ice cream! It's amazing how much a toddler/preschooler can consume when they want to.

  • Oh man, we started with BLW at 6 months and I haven't been able to eat in peace since! lol. At the BBQ Monday she would go up to anyone with food and make her "I want that" motion....except for me who she just came up to, took two handfuls of potato salad, and walked off.
