I have a bunch of refrigerator magnets that I want to get rid of (the kind that businesses give out). I have no interest in making new magnets with them, is there any other way to recycle them? I really don't want to toss them all in the trash.
Re: Magnets?
Huh. I've never considered it before. I Googled, but the precautions and disposal instructions were primarily for 'rare Earth magnets', which I've never heard of.
I'd probably set them to the side and wait until I have batteries, paint, etc and drop it off at the dump on their hazardous waste collection days.
They aren't hazardous, so no need to sort them that way.
I'd donate them to an elementary school that could make craft project with them, or list them on freecycle/craigslist/etc.
