Dust storm - July 5th 2011

So, wasn't that dust storm ridiculous last night? It is funny, I had no idea it was going on. I was telling my DH we should go for a walk, then he was like "it sounds like it is raining outside". We looked, and sure enough you could hardly see outside! It was really neat to see, but totally crazy.

This is a cool video I found online (I didn't take it). I wish I would have known it was coming, I would have loved to see the giant dust cloud on its way over.

I was outside in my backyard when I looked up and saw the wall of dust coming toward us. It was pretty amazing and the wind was unreal.

I cant watch the video at work but I've never seen such a huge dust storm like that before, ever. I did like it except the dirt that went into my mouth. I love Monsoon season.

It was pretty crazy.  We were driving in it last night as we were coming home from my parents' house.  The car shook when we were stopped and you could hardly see the next stop light until you were maybe a couple hundred yards from it.  Everything is dusty and dirty today.  I would have loved to just watch it but I could skip driving in it.

I love monsoon season when it actually rains! I am still waiting for that to happen... . Maybe tonight? I think there is only like a 20% chance though.

I know, its rained near us but while we are sleeping and not for long. I do love when it rains and storms like crazy.

It was crazy last night! All the fire alarms went off at work around 7 pm which meant that the residents and staff had to go outside to stand in the courtyard for a few minutes. When I got to work today all the hallways were covered in a thick coating of dust!

I didn't see much of the dust storm up here (i'm in Surprise) but man oh man did it rain. And there was hail for a minute or two as well. It was super crazy!

I didnt see at thing, only watched it on the news. It was really incredible, too bad I missed it.
