NYC GTG

Hey ladies! I know that a lot of the interested people are now on this board, so let's talk GTG and try to formulate a preliminary plan and then we can XP on the DW board.

 

Pam, while you were away, we really briefly talked about it so we could Michaela's input before she left, and we came to the conclusion that a weekend in August would be a good time to meet, and NYC would be a central location since we have people from both Baltimore and Boston interested in meeting up.

 

Risa, did you figure out which weekend in August you can't do?

 

Let's do a poll of which weekend people prefer at this point......it doesn't have to be written in stone, but this is just to get a sense of what weekend might work......

I voted for August 20-12 but I can do any of them other than the last weekend of August. I'm going on a bridesmaids brunch cruise with my friend for her wedding (and I'm proudly the only non-bridesmaid invited :P) and then I have another friend's birthday party.

I probably missed earlier conversations on this topic, but what's the plan once we get there?

The 1st and 3rd weekends are best for me since those are weekends we don't have my step-daughter. Risa if you want to car pool let me know, or anyone else in the MA, RI, CT area

Hey! I am glad you posted this Lola, I was just thinking about it. Ok so the weekend I can't do is the 13-14, so I voted for the 20-21. I feel like that is a good middle, don't you? Once everyone agrees, I just need to take that off from work.

Is anyone staying over for the night? Should we look for a cheap hotel room/s?

Erin - I was thinking maybe it would be easier to take the bus from South Station. That way we don't have worry about parking and stuff. I have done both, driven and bussed it before and the bus seems to be easier. Let me know what you think!

Hi gals! I'm super excited for this GTG it is going to be fabulous! I voted for the last weekend of the month but I can also do the 20 and 21st. I just need to know with time so I can adjust my work schedule if need be. Have we decided on a time yet?

The bus/train thing is a good point. The Baltimore ladies should probably do that too. I hate driving long distances anyway :P

Thanks for voting, ladies! So it seems the weekend of the Aug. 20-21 is the favorite. I am going to email Nessi and Jilly to check with them too. We didn't really formulate a plan yet. I am probably not the best person to take the reins on that, since I don't spend much time in NYC.
