Baby Shower Blog Posts

Does anyone have a link to a baby shower they attended or hosted. I am helping throw one for my BFF and the others that are supposed to be helping are BIG procrastinators, so I am trying to get some ideas...like food, decor, etc. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Re: Baby Shower Blog Posts

  • Do you know the gender of the baby? What is your price range? Are you preparing the food? Catering?
  • Tons of inspriation here:

BTW, if you haven't already done so, you should talk budget with the procrastinators.

  • DITTO this and definitley get with the other people as PP said to determine how much each person can/will contribute.

Last year we threw a shower for a girlfriend and we(the contributors) had a lunch meeting to discuss budget and who would receive the money and when.

No, the parents aren't finding out the gender.

It sounds like we will be preparing the food ourselves. Hopefully I will know more after this weekend, cause we are supposed to be getting together. If I am lucky, they won't cancel out on me.

They are registered for this set from Target, if that helps any.

  • A color palette of brown & pastels might be nice - based on the Target blanket.

But you don't really have to match the nursery if you don't want to.

If you're afraid that the other hosts might not be too helpful, maybe you can stick to a non-meal time - it would make food preparation easier.  You can do a dessert & drinks shower between lunch and dinner.  Or a simple brunch meal.

    GL!

  • The Christmas Tree store has a baby shower section with favors, candies, etc.
  • Here is a link to the entertaining section of my blog. Most of the events in there are baby showers, or baby shower related. It's not the best, but there are some ideas in there.

  • This is a link to the "Bedtime Story Theme" shower my sister hosted for me.. it was wonderful!
