Casey Anthony Jail Release

She'll be getting out on July 13...next week. I read yesterday that she can't wait to have another baby. Oh Lord!

Re: Casey Anthony Jail Release

  • And she had to pay $4000.

  • I read something earlier today that she told a friend she wanted to adopt an Italian (I think) with accent and all.

She might also have to pay tons in restitution. They're going to decide that sometime soon, I think.

They said the IRS is already slapping her with back taxes.  She was paid a couple hundred thousand in 2008 for an interview and owes $62000 in taxes.  And the lady with the same name as her fake nanny filed a defamation lawsuit a while back.

It won't matter.  It would be nice to think she won't make money from this, but she will.

  • They also said they might bill her for the search for Caylee.

  • I wish the judge could have forced her to undergo therapy.

  • I thought I read she got another year, maybe they wrote it too soon. That is so frustrating that she is getting out next week.

  • I would hope that she would never get approved for adoption! If she does, then that's such a failure on our part to protect children. (Not that the verdict already wasn't)

That would be part of the restitution. It's up to the Orange County Sheriff to file for that. The last number I heard was $130 K.

They were talking about that on our local news this morning, and one of the guest attorneys said that those charges probably won't stand. The Anthony's have already said that they've never met that lady/don't know her, so that could pose a problem for her case against Casey.

The only thing I've seen is that the real Zenaida had filled out a card at an apartment complex that Casey had visited, so they think that's where she got the name.  This lady says she had all kinds of problems when it happened.  I would think she could get some kind of compensation.  Casey had her name all over the media as a kidnapper.
