How do you protect a white handbag?

I just bought a gorgeous pure white bag. I asked the saleslady at Nordstrom if they pretreat or protect the bag and she said no. She said Longchamp is good quality so they already have a protectant on it. I am a klutz and stain prone. I prob should not have purchased a white bag, but I fell in love with it. Any tips on stain guarding? Thanks!!

Some leathers aren't really meant to be protected and are supposed to "age" - I don't have any personal experience with Longchamp though.  My big problem with lighter bags is jeans transfer (even after washing my jeans with vinegar and several times)so be VERY careful; I've yet to find a way to remove the transfer.  I finally just gave up after ruining a few designer bags, I now just stick with dark colors :-(

Then once a month using a clean, white, soft cloth, give it a rub down with some leather conditioner/cleaner. I've had really good luck with the Cole Haan brand cleaner. 

That combo has kept all of my leather bags white for years.

I believe I saw on here that you should try a very slightly damp Magic Eraser on the denim marks.  I plan to try this on my white bag.

Please, please, please don't use a magic eraser on your bag. It strips the varnish (even if you can't see it) off of the leather and makes your bag more susceptible to stains.

I get it from my shoe guy. He charges $20 a can for it, but a can lasts a long time. 

I've also seen it on Amazon and homedepot.com too, but you have to pay shipping on those sites for it.

lol, this is probably going to give you a heart attack but I use a baby wipe to clean my white leather bag. Works great.

OP, your new bag is gorgeous!! Love it.
