Pediatrician Recommendations in Yorktown Heights area?

My husband and I recently moved to the Yorktown Heights (from Washington DC) and are expecting our first baby next month.  We are frantically looking for a pediatrician but do not know anyone in this area to ask for a referral.  Any recommendations will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

My DD Pediatric Gastroenterologist is also a pedi--her name is Michele Alkalay--she is part of Mount Kisco Medical Group and the office is on Commerce St. in Yorktown  the number is 914-962-5060

My OB is in Yorktown Heights and we live in Carmel (border of Somers). Our Pedi is in Somers, which is about 15-20 mins from YH, depending where you are. His name is Dr. Pitaro and he's part of Westchester Health. DD is only 3 months old, but so far, we love him. And he came highly recommended to us from the maternal-fetal medicine nurses at Northern Westchester hospital.

my pedi's office is in Mt Kisco, not too far from Yorktown.  they are part of Westchester Medical Group- Dr Nick Germanakos.  There are 4 docs in the practice and the main doc is head of pediatrics at Northern Westchester.  where are you delivering?  i would suggest doing a hospital tour and asking the nurses who they recommend.

I use the same practice as nicinnewyork  The main Pediatrician is Dr. Pete Richel.  The Pedi we use in the practice (Dr. Vicky Zouzias) is leaving so we're going to be shifting over to one of the other docs, but they're all fantastic.

Do you like Alkalay?  She is the closest doctor to us (in regards to distance) that has been recommended.
