So, I have been on vacation for 3 weeks and am coming home on Saturday. We stayed in a furnished apartment with a full kitchen and were pretty successful at eating in a lot. However, with 2 days left, there are some food items that aren't going to get used. I am having a totally silly, random predicament...
I have a package of breaded fish fillets and some tater tots (one of the boys' fave meals) in the freezer. If we make them tonight we can save the $ from eating out but the whole package won't get eaten and at least 1/2 of each food item will get tossed. If I don't open them, I can let my mom put them in her freezer and her husband/step grandkids will eat them while she is in TX with me. I have a couple other items in the same boat- I can give them away if I don't open them and lose the $, plus spend more on eating out, or waste a bunch of food that I paid for anyway.
I HATE to waste but also like the idea of not eating out 3 meals a day for the next 48 hours. But I hate to waste. So, WWYD?

Re: A very silly WWYD question about the food in the fridge
Why would your mom not take an open box from you? The others could still eat them.
I would not worry about the leftovers, eat in or eat out as it pleases you, and then deal with the leftovers.
