Looking for part time work
Hi all,
I am a Tampa nestie but one of my former students is moving down to South Florida to start school at FAU in the fall. She is going to be staying with my parents in Dania Beach for the next month or so until she can move into the dorms at FAU in late August. She is completely on her own financially and is looking for a job so she can support herself.
If you know of anything in the Dania/Hollwood/Ft Lauderdale area or in the Boca area around FAU campus (she does not have a car), please let me know! She can babysit, or she also has experience as a restaurant server, customer service, and as a banquet server. Thanks so much.

There are a lot of shops and restaurants on Glades Road in Boca which is where FAU is. I'm sure if she applied she could find some work at one of these places. Off hand, I know there is a PF Changs, J Alexanders Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory, Grand Lux Cafe, Moe's Southwest Grill, Jamba Juice and a Whole Foods Market. There are also a ton of retail stores like Bed Bath and Beyond, Radio Shack, etc. as well a huge mall (Boca Town Center) right on Glades Road very close to FAU. I worked at a Petco part-time off of Glades shortly before I started going to FAU. You can probably go to the websites of these places and apply online.
They also have a Starbucks on the FAU campus so she want to look into that as well. GL, HTH!
