Please tell me if this will stop? Hydrangea Related

I recently planted two Original Endless Summer hydrangeas. It has been about 90 degrees everyday since I planted them and they're always floppy/wilted when I get home from work. They always perk back up at night, but I want to make sure that they're doing this b/c it's so hot and they're not established. They get sun, but they're not getting blasted with afternoon sun.

  • I'm in the UK and we are going through a drought in my area but I'm experiencing the same as you. Every other evening I water the hydrangeas heavily and they recoup.  Hydrangeas like the water and the moist.  Their roots could be lacking in water.  Are the days hot and the evenings cool? This could be the issue along with the fact they are newly planted.  Try watering them some more and I think you will find they will be ok.
You work, you play and then one day you fall in love!
  • Mine to that when they need water, I would make sure and give them lots of water especially since they are new.
