~Madame~

My stepmother follows me on Pinterest and I didnt want her to get the wrong idea (actually I've been really hesitant on pinning any baby related stuff b/c I dont want to here the questions)....

This is what the apple symbolizes " I love the tree.  I had a miscarriage before I had Hugh and we had nicknamed the baby Apple, so when I was painting the tree, I painted a little apple on it as a memorial to her.  The tree is lovely and soft and the room get?s beautiful sunlight and is a soothing place to be."

I like that it acknowledges the loss with out being in your face. Her and her husband know what it means but anyone else looking at the the room would necessarily know.

Re: ~Madame~

  • Oh my gosh, that is so awesome! I'll have to think of that when we actually get to paint someday.

On a related note, when R was born they asked if I had any prior m/c and I didn't realize that it would go on his CA birth cert! It struck me as odd that R will look back at his birth certificate and see the pregnancy before him, I'll have to make sure to tell him about it at some point so he doesn't look and wonder. I just think it's so strange to include a prior m/c on another baby's birth certificate.
