Re: The Friday Five
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? I really don't mind car rides. Though I'll do it, flying is my least favorite way to travel...
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? I like traveling with Chris. We can chit chat, and at the same time feel comfortable traveling in silence.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? I think our honeymoon to St. Lucia is definitely at the top of the list.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? We're going to Maine next weekend, and then after that I think my next trip will be driving out to PA!
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? Japan, hands down.

1. 4 -5 hr drive - car, longer than that I would rather fly.

3. Toss up between Martha's Vineyard and St. Lucia.
4. In 2 weeks, we are going to Rockport, MA for 3 nights.
5. A 3 wk trip to France, Switzerland, and Italy.
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? I can handle a 4-7 hour drive, but sometimes, I would just prefer to fly at that point. I've never taken a train anywhere
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? Roadtrips with DH are great, and in general, we travel pretty well together. Second to him would be my friend D, we have taken two trips together, one to Vegas, one to Florida, and we just travel well together and are always on the same page.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Honeymoon/1 year trip to Bermuda was great. Vegas was awesome, too. My trip to Denver a couple of months ago was pretty fantastic, even though it was work related, there were a few days of great fun.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? I'm lobbying for Bermuda again this fall, but not sure it will happen. Hopefully Vermont again in the fall.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? US: California and Chicago. Abroad: Australia, or somewhere along the Mediterranean.
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? I like to drive up to 10 or so hours. Have definitely done more but I'd rather just fly and get it over with
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? Either Kevin or my BFF Anne. They're really the only ones I have so far.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Also gonna go with my honeymoon (Bahamas). We had such a good time and great experience.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? We were looking to get away this summer but Kev bought a new car instead
Next trip that I see in the future is next summer, NYC for my BFF's bachlorette party and then her wedding next October in Jamaica.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? A European excursion. I'd love to see London, Paris and Italy more specifically.:Blog:
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? Car. I am still terrified to fly, so if I can get there by car, I will.
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? Jon. Plus he is the only person I have traveled with besides a few friends a few years ago
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Hands down our road trip to Florida. I would do it again in a heartbeat
4. Where will your next vacation be to? Not sure. Most likely out west (Dakotas, Colorado, Wyoming area) since we havent been there yet.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? Italy. We both said that we want to go there before we are 50, so we have 25 more years to get this done

2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? I like to travel with my uncle. Kirk hates to fly and I like to go places that are far away, so at least 1 day of our vacation always involves him being grumpy, so that's why I didn't pick him.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? I liked our honeymoon cruise a lot, but I also loved the week we spent in Mexico over Spring Break one year and the summer I spent with my uncle and my cousin on the East Coast when I was 16.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? We live glamorous lives where vacation time doesn't exist for my husband, so my next vacation will be to St. Louis for girl's weekend. Unless of course we get to Cleveland first, which actually may happen. Such fabulous locations, right?
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? Tahiti.Stand up for something you believe in.
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? I like to fly. I don't mind the airport, I think it's relaxing. I'm terrible in the car. I'm a nervous passenger and make Jon anxious. Our recent road trip to Toronto/Niagara was actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it wasn't my favorite way to travel.
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? Jon is the best to travel with. When he worked at my company he traveled internationally 2-3 weeks of every month, so he's pretty good at it. My sister is also fun.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Our honeymoon in CA was pretty amazing. The driving was gorgeous and we just had such a fun time. Key West was also pretty great.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? We're going back to Napa in September, but I think that vacations will probably be scaled back for the rest of the year due to Jon's new job.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? Australia.
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? car. It's easier, there are no deadlines, running through airport, worrying your bags didn't make it on, etc. And I don't mind that it takes a long time- plus, some areas of the country are beautiful to drive through.
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? probably Clint. He gets a bit whiny on long car trips, but otherwise he's very pleasant.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? either our honeymoon or going to Yellowstone last summer.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? the CT shore at the end of the month- but the timeshare still hasn't confirmed we have the week, so the next might just be our girl's weekend in ME in August. I'm also considering an Alaska cruise next summer! Not sure if it's in our budget, though.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? a big tour of Scandinavia! Oslo, Bergen, Copenhagen, Lund, Stockholm, Helsinki and Talinn, ideally the type of trip that's a cruise to each city and at least 3 days in each city (if such a thing even exists). With extra suitcases for souvenirs.Come on over! I would love for a Niner to come visit
1. What is your favorite way to travel (ship, plane, car, train, etc)? I love to travel in general and like each way for different reasons. I do love a road trip though, even if it's far because then you don't have to worry about a rental car to get where you want to go.
2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? I of course love to travel with Jay; like others said we vacation similarly which is a huge plus. Other than that, my parents because they pay for my stuff and are fun.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Honeymoon, it was a great time in our favorite place and we had new adventures when we went down to Miami. A close second would be the long weekend to Vegas my dad took me on with my bff at the time for my 21st birthday; being drunk for 3 straight days was quite the experience.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? We're going to do an extra long weekend up in Michigan somewhere in September for anniversary/a friend's wedding. After that we're going to Florida in Nov/Dec to spend Thanksgiving with my dad part of the family and then on to Disney with my mom and stepdad. We're also in the process of saving for a trip to Italy that we're hoping to take next spring.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? US: Hawaii and Alaska. Abroad: ITALY! I also really want to go to Australia.

3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? Our HM cruise was the "nicest" but Miami was more fun, honestly

2. Who is your favorite person to travel with? Either my husband or my sister. In the car, my sister gets on my nerves with her music and Danny gets on my nerves with his driving, but they both keep me entertained. Flying neither of them get on my nerves. And Danny and I have never been on a ship together.
3. What is the best vacation you've ever taken? That's a toughie. I like to travel, period, so all of my trips have been pretty good because each place gives its own experience. If I had to pick, I'd have to say my senior trip to Disney with Danny (where he proposed) because it was our first true vacation together, he got to fly/go to Disney for the first time, and we stayed with my cousin, so we were in an actual house instead of a hotel.
4. Where will your next vacation be to? I want to go to the beach. Like really bad. I'm hoping we can figure out a way to hit up Ocean City for at least a day or two.
5. If you had the time and money to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? My "travel bucket list." It's huge and consists of every place I'd ever want to visit. Some examples: Grand Canyon, Redwood Forest, Alaska glaciers, Europe, Australia, Greece, NOLA. It would probably take me at least 5 years to do it all. I'm waiting on the lottery for that one.
