Re: HHC Week 3
Maria, I'm not sending you a weight for this week. I had a big loss, but I'm pretty sure it's due to the post-op diet and not actual progress. I'll sit out this week and come back next friday with a number I feel like I actually earned since I'll probably gain a pound or two back.
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? I couldn't exercise much b/c of the meds I was on, but Steve and I walked around the mall a couple times.
2. Would you do it again? Yes, it was great to have the air conditioning and know I had a good place to sit down if I got dizzy. Overall a great way to get in some activity while recovering.
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? The surgery kind of put a kink in my plans because of the restrictions. Also, classes and work have made it difficult to find time to exercise.
4. What are you proud of yourself for? I'm proud of myself for making good choices this week in the limited spectrum of what I could eat. I went for applesauce and sugar free popsicles more than the pudding or ice cream.

What are you looking at?
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? I was supposed to walk with a friend and our babies, but we got our wires crossed. I walked with Ella a bunch ..haha...and with DH a few times. Tomorrow a good friend and my mom are both coming to check out the new studio. I hope they both give it a whirl.
2. Would you do it again? I will walk with my friend next week and DH quite often. I hope more friends decide to take classes at the studio -- they'll have Zumba mostly, but also kettleball, Zumba toning, kickboxing, step, "butts and guts" and more. So much fun!
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? Motivation to exercise when I don't have a planned class. It is easiest to go for walks, but its sooo hot some days!
4. What are you proud of yourself for? Planning and making dinner every night. DH actually commented that he thinks he's feeling good and losing weight because of the healthy dinners. Which is great because I wanted to kill him for watching me cook last night...I hate to be watched! He redeemed himself.

What are you looking at?
This week's challenge was to plan an activity date with a friend or family member.
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? Total fail. DH and I planned to do W1D3 of C25K on Monday, but when he woke up he had a really bad stomach ache (from the crap he ate at the movies the night before lol) and it was really humid so we nixed that idea.
2. Would you do it again? We'll plan on it again sometime soon, and hopefully follow through this time.
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? Not getting home until after 8pm most nights (when it comes to exercise). I've been doing well with food.
4. What are you proud of yourself for? Sticking with my Body by Vi challenge!
Next week's challenge is to eat a HEALTHY breakfast every morning.
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? I went to the amusement park with my sister. We walked across the park several times, climbed stairs, and went swimming for a bit. We were tired out!
2. Would you do it again? Yep, we got season passes so we plan to go about once a week.
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? Summer treats and parties. Also, I'm teaching at a summer camp 3 mornings a week so it messes with my good routine of getting up and going to the gym first thing in the morning.
4. What are you proud of yourself for? Making myself go to the gym yesterday even though I was tired out from the first week of summer camp and not getting much sleep all week. I felt much better after!
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? M and I did a bike ride down to the river.
2. Would you do it again? Yes, we want to make it a regular thing.
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? Exercise - I hate moving when it's so warm and humid.
4. What are you proud of yourself for? Both days I went into the office this week I came home and did Zumba for Wii. Usually I just take a nap. And, I'm down 3 lbs!

What are you looking at?
1. What did you do and who did you do it with? I worked out at the gym with Dave, who is in incredibly good shape... he's like my own personal fitness trainer...
2. Would you do it again? Absolutely!! It was the best workout I've had in YEARS... it so helps having an accountability partner... and it boosted my workouts for the rest of the week too... just made me want to push harder.
3. What have been your biggest obstacles in maintaining and starting healthy habits this summer? Ummm.... probably the initial drama and emotions with the divorce and everything but since the dust is settling from that, it's getting easier.... I'm about to go on vacation though so we'll see.....
4. What are you proud of yourself for? Working out almost everyday, really being conscientous about my food, and not calories, but fiber, protein, vitamins... overall nutrition conscious... not just weight conscious... and I lost FIVE lbs... woot woot!
