Has anyone ever made oven scrambled eggs?

Any tips or tricks? I recently just learned how to make bacon in the oven and it's changed my life! :o)

Re: Has anyone ever made oven scrambled eggs?

  • We've tried it before, baking them for 10 mins at 350. Then we stirred them up and did another 10 minutes. Honestly it took more time for my oven to preheat than it would for me to scramble in a pan, ya know? I'm not a patient person.  lol!

We do our omelet casserole in the oven though.

  • I haven't, but have you ever done omelets in a bag? They are awesome! You put 3 (I think) eggs in a sealed plastic baggie, add in whatever toppings you want (cheese, ham, veggies, etc), smoosh it around to mix and boil in a pot of water for about 11 minutes. You can layer them on top of each other, so you can do several omelets at a time. Just make sure your pot is big enough so the baggies don't touch the sides. Amazing and delicious!

  • I LOVE bacon in the oven! Wink especially turkey bacon, if you put it in while the oven is heating up, it gets that good crispy bacon style!!

Make sure you use freezer baggies.  The regular ones can melt in the boiling water.

  • Thanks for the tips! I will totally try the omelets in a bag...sounds easy!
