Formula 409 Question

Hi all,

I am new to The Nest and have a question about using 409 as a kitchen counter cleaner. I don't use it much anymore but did throughout my childhood. After seeing it at my in-law's recently, I decided to read the back. It states there that a potable water rinse should follow every use when cleaning food contact surfaces.

My question to you all is that something that you have typically done after each use in the kitchen, and if not, how did you use it?

Re: Formula 409 Question

  • Most countertop spray cleaners say that on the back actually. It's just not a 409 thing. You're even technically supposed to rinse after Clorox Wipes.

I usually spray and wipe with a wet rag. I never thought too much more into it.
