baby registries!
Last summer, a couple friends had registered at BabiesRUs... after taking forever to even print the registries, then not being able to find anything b/c the store was completely disorganized and even the workers didn't know where basic things were, I decided that when the time came I was avoiding that store at all costs!
Well, I have a shower to go to for someone at work today, and I stopped by BuyBuyBaby at lunch (I was focused on the cupcakes I was making and forgot about a gift until the last minute!) BuyBuyBaby is awesome! It's overwhelming, but awesome! There was someone in every department, it's set up JUST like Bed Bath & Beyond. I didn't look around much- I sorta knew what I wanted to get. But the store was well organized and well stocked and every customer service person knew where things were. And they have free "self serve" wrapping paper station- complete with the box. So I had the 20% off coupon, plus free wrapping & satin ribbons!

I also had a problem with Babies R Us- both items I bought were not marked as bought when I purchased them, but my cousin got two of the stuffed monkey and three of the the other gift. They makred my purchases on the registry and it showed immediately when my mom checked. Not sure if it was a store problem with someone not correctly marking the registry or just rude guests who bought what the wanted regardless of if it was marked as bought already.
Well this is good news to my ears. lol I registered at Target and that was really the only place I wanted to go and MIL just kept insisting that I go to BRU. So I did a registry completely online for them. Hopefully other people will feel the same and just head on over to Target for the stuff I really want. ha ha ha - I love it when I can throw things in MILs face (sorry for the snarkiness)
