Guest Bedding question

How many layers do you have on it when guests stay the night? Currently it is made up with fitted sheet, flat sheet, down comforter/duvet and a throw across the bottom corner.

DH thinks we need to add a think blanket. He wants to put the blanket between the top sheet and down/duvet. I think its July and this would make me hot. Our house isn't that cold.

Re: Guest Bedding question

  • I think the layers you have on there right now are fine. No need for an extra blanket unless it's winter and you don't turn on your heater.

  • Does he think you live in the Arctic?

I think fitted, flat, duvet/comforter & a throw to the side is fine.

  • We live in Florida, 9 months out of the year all I use is a sheet. You're good, tell your H to shut it.

    Got to love that.

I think you're fine with what you listed. You can always ask if they want another blanket if you think they'll be cold.

  • How warm is the duvet? Some of them can be pretty hot, that's the only reason I'd see a need for a lighter blanket. We actually change out our bedding between summer and winter because our duvet is too hot for the summer. If it's a regular standard weight then I'd think an extra blanket would be overkill. What you have is fine.
