Paper Quilling, Part 2: PIP
Thanks for all of your suggestions earlier about paper quilling. My friend and I decided to dive in and try it. It is tough, but fun!
We decided to make 5 of them to celebrate our small group's 5th anniversary as a group. There are 5 couples in the group. The traditional gift for a 5 year anniversary is paper, so we thought it would be appropriate to give everyone a gift made of paper (and of a tree!)
Here it is and don't be too harsh on me!
The other 4 are very similar in design. When is it okay to say enough is enough?

Thats a tricky question! The project we did is not really difficult, more time consuming. Some of the quilling art I have seen seems a lot more difficult. We did this without a real tutorial or the quilling instrument (we used grilling skewers). I am sure you could do something similar and do something great if you followed a tutorial. It was fun, though!
