It's your flippin' birthday - no, I don't think you should have to invite his parents if they can't play nice with yours. YOUR parents should be there and if his can't handle that, they can shove. That's just IMHO though ![]()

DH and I actually had a big talk about why I feel the way I do about them, and he understands. He's not trying to make me like them, I think he just had this fairy-tale version of how things should work when we got married (everyone loving everyone, puppies and rainbows, blah blah blah). It's not like that because they were nasty to me and my family during the wedding planning. So, no, they will not be invited to my birthday party.
