Teachers this is for you!
I came across an ad for two positions that I am qualified for at a district. I would like to apply for both of them because I have the qualifications for both positions. Should I just pick one or is okay to mention both in my CL? I figure it can't hurt. I just don't want to come across as indecisive.
Re: Teachers this is for you!
Well a few questions- then I can answer better.... (I teach HS History)
1. Is the district large where there are HR people reviewing your information, or small where 1 person is doing the pre-screen? (my district is the last one).
2. Are they probably supervised by the same person? Or are they seemingly different.. ie, special ed teacher vs. art teacher. Or HS English vs. MS English? (in my district the supervisors review the resumes for all interviews)
Keep in mind that even if the add says to send your resume to a one person (such as superintendent) most likely he or she passes them on to building principals or subject supervisors. To make sure your resume gets reviewed for both positions, I would send two.
