Travel Insurance
Anyone ever bought it? As some of you know, I've been dying to go on a real vacation foreverrrrr, and I've been doing a ton of planning for a november vegas/grand canyon trip. Unfortunately, with DH's new position, he got a sort of "yellow light" from his boss. Basically an it-should-be-fine-unless-something-major-comes-up kind of deal. Flights are really well-priced right now for the week we're considering, so I'd like to book, but I'd say there's at least a 10% chance something would come up and we'd have to cancel.
Does anyone have experience with trip cancellation policies and have any recommendations for where to buy one? I posted on Travel but figured I'd check here too.

Re: Travel Insurance
Check with your credit card company. You may have to purchase it with that card, but it may provide you some coverage.
Also, check with the airlines to see if the flights are refundable within X-amount of time before the flight.
Other than that, the travel insurance we purchased for Europe really wouldn't provide much coverage for the type of situation you're talking about... Its more so like last minute accident, family emergency, weather, death, etc. We purchased ours with our package.
