Housewarming Gift Basket Ideas...Need Help!
I am going to a housewarming party tonight and I am making a kitchen themed gift basket for my friend, but I need some ideas for what to put in it. They are really young and don't have a lot of kitchen stuff already (I made dinner at their house the other day and they didn't have any dish soap or sponges!), so here is what I have so far:
Bar Keepers Friend
a Palm dish brush
dish soap
sponges
parchment paper
what would you add? thanks!
Re: Housewarming Gift Basket Ideas...Need Help!
If you're doing parchment paper.... how about a cookie cookbook, cookie spatula, cookie cutter, etc. Go with a cookie-theme. Get away from the cleaning supplies a little bit.
Other thoughts: glassware with a bottle of wine/pack of beer/fun set of sodas; linen napkins; ice cream bowl/scoop with jarred toppings; colander with fancy pasta/sauce/recipes
I'd probably recommend moving away from what kinda sounds like cleaning supplies. Go for items centered around a meal.
I've always done things that I needed when we moved and it would have been nice if someone brought them.
A roll of TP/Cottnelle wipes
Hand soap
Nice set of hand towels or dish towels
paper plates
candle
clorox wipes
homemade cookies and snack mix
The parchment paper is throwing me off... everything else seems cleaning related...
some nice dish towels, (I love the WS dishtowels)
a nice bottle of handsoap... (maybe also from WS)
A small hammer and a kit of hooks to hang pictures

(Aunt Sadies is a company that started two blocks from my condo. I love their scented candles. This one is one of my favorite scents.)
Have fun
