Totally random questions, but I don't want to do separate posts for all of them. I don't expect anyone to have all the answers!
*If anyone attends Curves, what is it like? I'm sure the equipment varies by location, but what does your regular location have? I have a free month membership that I want to take advantage of.
*Has anyone heard about Verizon's ETF loophole? Do you think it would work? Despite my sister and a friend being told they could drop Verizon because they no longer offer service for picture messaging or data plans in our town, I was told I could not.
*Who would be above our insurance agent? She hasn't responded since June 15 and I've emailed 3 times and called once since then. She had said E was added to our health insurance the week after she was born. We received her hospital bills and it says she isn't covered by my insurance. I only have so long to add her and am worried it won't get done on time.
*Can a formula check be used in conjunction with a coupon? The store treats the check as a check, but it says that consumers should treat it as a coupon.
*E is to be given vitamin D drops daily since she's breastfeeding. We'll have to supplement some with formula, which states to contain the daily recommended amount of 400mg. Should we skip the drops any day that she takes formula?
*How can I get our 6 week old into a routine? Honeslty, we hadn't bothered because neither of us were working and didn't know what our schedules would be like once we returned. Now, I've got a steady schedule and H has a semi-regular/rotating schedule so we are able to get into a routine.
Re: Random questions
I can only help on a couple (or really one) but its something!
I have always been able to use formula checks in conjunction with coupons. I bought formula for P several times this way and saved her parents a ton of money.
I asked our pedi about using Vitamin D drops for Sophia while she was nursing and our pediatrician doesn't recommend it. Her feelings were/are that if mom drinks milk and gets outside at least 15 minutes a day three days a week you are good. Even better if baby is also exposed to sunlight for 15 minutes three times a week. We definitely have that covered! Dark skinned babies and moms are at a higher risk of low levels, though. If you are for sure supplementing I'd probably put a call in to your pedi. I know getting too much vitamin D can definitely be a bad thing.
As far as scheduling, Sophia sort of developed a natural routine around six weeks old so we just stuck with that. I'd spend a couple days just really paying attention to the routine E has and see if you can notice a pattern.
call your insurance company
yes to the coupons & checks.
Yes you can, just start getting in a habit of doing the same thing each night. Email me I'm on my phone and its hard to nest lol Foster060609@gmail.com we can chat more about it! ;-)
*no idea on Curves
*no idea on Verizon either...
*call the # on your card. it could also be that she was added, but after the hospital sent the claim in, so the info crossed in the mail. we had that happen a lot with DS1. But call to verify with your insurance co directly, then call the hospital to have them re-submit the claim.
*not sure, never used the checks, and hardly used formula
*We only remember every 2-3 days. C is outside every few days at the park and such when I take W out, so he gets some sun. I didn't do it with Will, and he's fine (I think!)...
*Just start doing the same stuff each night, and after a few days/week or so, she'll get the idea. We did that with Will right before I went back to work, and it really helped. Bath, book, nurse, bed. We need to do with with Chance, just to get some adult time in, but...
Good luck!
- No personal experience, but it sounds boring. Basically you're on a machine/activity for X time and then you switch. Move forward. Rinse and repeat.

- Look at the back of your card and call that number. When I had LJ my 'baby' costs were submitted before my L&D costs so they were all rejected... because how can you have a baby without delivery? Yep, it was a headache. But it was all figured out with some tenacity and patience.
- Yes, the formula 'check' can be used along with a coupon. I doubled them up all the time.

- You can't get a 6 week old in a routine. They rule YOU, not the other way around. Hang tight and enjoy the ride
