How does Bag & Save stay in business?? They have all of their Kellogg's cereals 50% off through today. I have a coupon, printed from the Kellogg's website for $1.50 off any 3 cereals. Before I make a special trip over there (b/c I do not normally shop there) I called to ask about their coupon policy. I spoke to THREE different employees and I honestly do not know if they would accept this coupon or not.
ME: Do you accept internet coupons?
Clerk 1: What do you mean?
ME: Coupons I print at home, from the internet
Clerk 1: From our website, we do, if you buy 'em from our site.
ME: If I get the coupons from your site, or the groceries?
Clerk 1: Let me get someone else to help you.

ME: I was wondering about your coupon policy, if you take internet coupons?
Clerk 2: We have a lot of fake coupons, I mean if something's free, we're not just going to give it to you.
ME: Well, I have coupon for cereal that I printed from the Kellogg's website and I was wondering if your store would accept that.
Clerk 2 (getting a little testy): Uh, we're not going to take a fake coupon.
ME: Sir, it's not fake, it has a bar code, a watermark type security thing, and I printed it from the Kellogg's website.
Clerk 2: I don't know, let me get ...

ME: Does your store accept coupons printed from the internet?
Clerk 3: I don't know what you mean, stuff you made at home?
ME: No, a coupon, printed from a website.
Clerk 3: We have a whole book of fake stuff, you'd have to come in and look and see if it's in there, b/c if it is, we're not going to take the coupon.
ME: So, the answer is no?
Clerk 3: We'll have to see... (and then starts to say something about not getting a Pepsi for free or something like that- I don't know!)
ME: THANK YOU (annoyed and hanging up)
And this is why I only shop at SuperTarget & HyVee!
Re: WTH Bag & Save!!!
All I can say is wow. They must have all the idiots working today!
Is their Kellog's ad in a paper? If so, take it to Walmart or SuperSaver, price match it, and use your coupon.

I don't think it will work, b/c it's a % off deal, there aren't any prices or specific cereals mentioned.
I stopped by there on my way home yesterday to take advantage of the sale and bought 5 boxes of cereal, some fruit, and 6 lbs of chicken for less than $20, so I know I got a good deal yesterday. I was planning my Target trip for tomorrow, and checking my internet coupon sites and found one for Kellogg's, thinking that would make the cereal even cheaper... but it's not worth my time to drive all the way back there, and then have them not accept my perfectly legal coupons!! I'll just use them at Target, in addition to a Target coupon.
