I'm dogsitting for my parents this entire week.  I love their dog, don't get me wrong.  But I do not own a big home nor do I have a huge yard.  So now I've got a crazy nearly 3 year old pit bull and a 2 year old weimaraner running around like two crazies in my living room -- jumping on my couches, running through the hallway, dumping over the water dish, and... oh yes... they just ran head on, double-wide in to the entertainment center. 

This is going to be a looooong week.

omg...you're kind of saintly in my eyes!  I couldn't bring another person's animal into my home to babysit (even family)...but then, I have cats, and they don't befriend new animals as easily as doggies can.

I would gladly go visit/stay with another person's animal, and have, but I just think it's less stress all around: for the animal, for you...if you go to them.

Therefore You=Saint :-)

Yeah, it's only day 3 and I'm going insane.  They won't shut off.  Last night, they were fighting over me.  I think this is because Gemma, my parents' dog, was mine before Zeke, my dog, was while I was living in their house.  I basically was her sole caregiver for 2 years from the day we brought her home as a puppy.  She is very jealous of my Zeke, and they are both very possessive over me.  It's kind of cute to see them army crawl to get close to me and see who can get the closest to me at one time.  But seriously, the need to calm down.

Agreed, but Zeke and Gemma are best buddies and get along great.  Plus, Gemma does so well going to other houses; she just makes herself right at home.  I've been taking them to my parents' house during the day, though, so they have a big yard to play in.
