HI! Thanks for the reply to my moving post.  I have a few questions for you if you dont mind.  Big Smile You said you live in Mt pleasant, did you all buy a new home or older?  We are looking at new home communities around$150s  in that area but are having trouble.  Could you sugest some?  Have you found that there is fun family things to do?  Do you all have seasons there? I am from west palm beach fl and we have NO seasons Sad We are looking for a place where the leaves change and nice weather Smile We also want to try for a baby next year I say you siggy that you have a baby... Does she go to daycare? Could you suggest some?  There is so much to consider when moving, I am sure you understand... Thanks I appreciate it!

  • Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you! We actually have yet to buy a home. I am in apartment management so we are living at a property with my job currently. We have been looking because we want to be sure of the area we want to be in. I hate to dissapoint you, but I think there are few if any communities in Mt Pleasant ar ound the $150's. The housing in Mt.Pleasant is much more expensive than in other areas such as Summerville, Hannahan, Goose Creek. You can try some of the neighborhoods within the Longpoint subdivision. There are lots of family things to do here! We are only six miles from the beach which is awesome. There are two close county parks that house water parks in them for summertime. There are also lots of festivals, and activities. We definatly so far have seasons. I am loving it! In TX it's either hot or cold, but here we are having seasons. It is still warmer longer than places in the north of course, but right now this week has been about 50 degrees everyday. My daughter does go to daycare at Chesterbrook Academy. We love it! The entire staff is kind and caring and we have had a wonderful experience. Just a word of advice, most of the daycare's here have very lengthy waiting lists so if  you get pregnant you will want to find the daycare as quickly as possible. You might also want to check out the Daniel Island area. It can be expensive, but it is a neat family area and there are some more affordable townhomes and apartments. HTH!!! Let me know if you have more quesitons!
  • Thanks so much for the info, I am going to look up the suggestions that you gave me!! I am glad to here that you love it so much!!! I look forward to being able to ask you questions if I have some.. Thanks so much for the help!!!Smile
