WDWT of hosting on Sundays?

Please answer by lunch on Sunday :)

I was just about to send out the evite for my re-mojo-ing party this coming Saturday the 16th when an evite came in for a friend's bday on Friday the 15th.  It'll be the same group at both.

I talked to the bday girl and she said she plans on partying hard and would rather not do anything Saturday night.  So I'm leaning toward moving it to Sunday the 17th.  But what vibe does that send?  Do I need to change the menu?  What time?  I've never hosted on a Sunday before.

And remember this is my grad school classmates, so guests have nothing more intense than class at 10 am or an internship the next morning ;)

I don't want to move this to the weekend of the 23rd because that's the weekend before finals for my friends in summer school.

-----

And OMG, this weekend is the first weekend in 13 months that I haven't been studying or traveling.  I was so lighthearted this morning without homework or plans looming that I literally broke out into show tunes! lol  So yes, I have my mojo back!  I didn't realize until today just how greatly school was dragging me down.  I can't wait to host something!

Re: WDWT of hosting on Sundays?

  • I've hosted lunches and dinners on a Sunday and it's always been fine. I think it just depends on how many people you're inviting and what time you're starting.
  • Hope I'm in time.  I see nothing wrong with Sundays.  My mom works most Saturdays so most Sundays are very common for us.  You may not be as boozy, but that's not a bad thing.
