Good morning, gals!

Good morning and happy Sunday to you lovely ladies! I thought I'd do the honor of the daily post since nothing has been posted yet today.

How is everyone's Sunday going so far? It's a gorgeous day here. I don't have any plans for the day and I'm trying to motivate to get out and do something. I've been in a domestic diva rut so far this weekend, where I'm perfectly content to stay in (in the A/C) and do housework/organizing/laundry and such. I would at least like to make it out to the farmstand today to stock up on produce for the week. DH and I are pretty broke until he gets paid on Friday, so I'm trying to be very frugal and it just seems like doing anything and everything costs money in some way.

I am making progress with our wedding gift pile. It's almost all put away now which is good! It's only taken almost 2 months :)

Major accomplishment of the weekend was actually that yesterday, DH went to the DMV to change his name there, and alas, it went flawlessly! So it seems he's passed the litmus test of name-changing. He already has his new license and my heart just about melted when I saw his new name under his picture. I just LOVE it! The DMV people gave him no trouble whatsoever, so I spent months worrying about how complicated and costly the name change process would be for him, for no reason. It's ironic that he's already changed everything and I have yet to change anything!

Re: Good morning, gals!

  • I love it!! It's awesome that he had no troubles with the name change! I totally hear ya on everything costing money. I got my yearly raise the other day (yay!) and ended up treating FI & his buddy (our photographer) to mexican food, then yesterday paid for FI, myself and my nephew to get into the museum...all these little things are adding up.

I'm so relieved we have no plans today, I finally get to start checking things off my to do list. I only woke up 20 mins ago (it's 940) but I'll probably be interneting in my pjs for a few more hours :)

  • I love that he hyphenated, Laura! So cool :)

We unpacked the shower gifts that we are using now (new toaster, new glasses, margaritaville blender, etc.) and put the others in storage last night. This morning we went to the gym and then to the pool for a few hours. It's been a couple weeks since I'd gotten some sun, my tan had almost faded completely! Now to shower and get ready to go see some houses in an hour!!

  • Hey ladies! Happy Sunday! Laura, I'm so glad the name change was hassle free. Heater- that museum sounds like a lot of fun. Today I'm heading to a family cookout, and tonight I'm meeting up with 2 of my girlfriends for a few hours. When I get home it's time for TrueBlood. DH and I love that show lol. Hope you ladies enjoy your day!
  • Laura - That is great that he was able to change his name hassle free.  I love that he is hyphenating it and you both have the same name now!

Brea - Glad you had a great bridal shower.  I am so jealous of your Margaritaville blender!

As for me, I've been in Tennessee for the last few days just chillin' and relaxin'.  We did get to go to a winery and I think I found my new fav wine.  Yummm.  I am so not ready to get back into the swing of things this week though.

  • Laura--Glad the DMV was hassle-free!

Brea--Hope you had a blast at your shower!!

My weekend was wonderful.  Yesterday DH and I went on this livingsocial deal we got, we went kayaking and then to our favorite winary.  The only downside was that I had a terrible headache and the bus that we rode on was super bumpy...which didn't help the situation!
