How much yarn are you willing to waste to change skeins at the end of a row?
I am crocheting a blanket and trying to decide if I should cut the yarn and switch skeins at the end of a row, while turning, or to just use it up. How much more difficult is it to deal with the end in the middle of a row. I'm talking about weaving them in and finishing the project. TIA, I'm not a very sophisticated crocheter.

In crochet, I pretty much use it up. To some extent it depends on the pattern though and how well I can hide the ends in the middle of the row, but the majority of the time this isn't an issue.
Since I last crocheted I've learned the Russian join and the felted join and both are very useful for clean joins if you prefer. Instructions for both are on the KnittingHelp website.
