Quick Diaper Cake questions

Should I do the cake with the rolled diapers or where they are fanned?  If I do the fanned look, I can still wrap receiving blankets around too right?

I've only made them rolled before but I wonder if it's easier for the parents to use the diapers later if they are fanned.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

  • In don't know what you mean by fanned.  I will say I got one with rolled diapers and had no problem using them.  A free idea they did for me was to put a bunch of coupons for baby items in the center.  jJust a free idea.

Sorry, maybe that wasn't the right term but the end product looks more like this:

  • I really like the end product.

  • That's cute.  It probably would be a little easier, but either way will truly be fine.
  • I've done both...the fanned was more difficult but less tedious and I actually preferred the look of it better. I have pics in my blog under entertaining if you are interested for comparison.  I also see no reason why you couldn't use the receiving blankets with the fanned version too.

Thanks everyone!  I finished the assembly using the fanned version with receiving blankets and really like how it turned out.  I didn't find it to be too difficult and it's definitely less tedious!  Now I just need to decorate it and finish it up.
