How do you go about following up on an application done through a website or email? How long do you wait to call and what do you say when you do?

This is asked all the time. Scroll down and you'll probably find it once or twice on this page alone.
If you have contact info, use that to contact them to follow up. If they say no calls/e-mails, leave it alone to show you can follow instructions.
I usually give it a week or 2 and just say I'm confirming that they received my information.
